Bones - Guys this is just to get the basics down..and from this I'll hope to get this shit down for a more in depth interview .. So thats start off with ..What's the name of your band?
Buckshot - Dirty Rig
Bones - What genre of music do you consider your work to be? Who are your major influences?
Buckshot: - We consider our music just plain and simple ROCK & ROLL. I am not really sure if that is even a genre anymore but fuck it thats what we call it. Our influences wrangle within the band. I love Thrash and Death Metal, Chas and Dave love Classic Rock and Metal and Tommy loves Cheap Trick.
Bones - How long have you all known each other? How did you meet?
Buckshot: - We have known each other for almost 6 years. We all met at a bar on Long Island. We used to frequent this watering hole because they had cheap drinks and we would get fucked up. We came up with an idea of starting a band and here we are.
Bones - When did you form your band? What inspired you to make music together?
Buckshot: - We formed the band about 5 years ago. I got the itch again to play so I came up with the idea and these guys said hells yeah lets do it. Been chugging along ever since
Bones - Do you have a record label?
Buckshot: - We are on a label called Escapi Music (Warner Brothers). They rock. They have treated us awesome and they really let us develop our own mission. They work really hard in the trenches to help build us up. Just solid people.
Bones - What can you tell me about your instruments? (i.e., Are you subject to brand loyalty or will you play with what ever's available? What made you choose the instruments you have now? Was it cost or was it a style / model / brand / color preference?
Buckshot:- For me the best musicians play the best instruments. Les Paul's rule and the others suck. If you want a bad ass guitar sound you don' t pick a wimpy Japanese made pile of shit. You buy a bad ass American Made Les Paul. End of story.
Bones - Where have you performed? What are your favorite and least favorite venues? Do you have any upcoming shows?
Buckshot: - We have played in a lot of rooms. Some of the smallest to some of the biggest. I prefer to play in a room that has a great vibe big or small. As long as the venue has cold beer I will play anywhere.

Bones - Which songs do you perform most frequently? Do you ever play any covers? Do you have a set play list?
Buckshot: - I personally love playing a couple of different tracks for our CD's. I love "Suck It" "Rock Did It" and "Kickin & Screamin" the best. They just have that ball's to the wall groove. People freak out and beers are raised. I think we played a AC/DC cover once. I am personally not into cover bands. I didn' t learn how to play music to copy someones music. Thats fucking lame. Could you imagine playing for a wedding band? I would rather put my cock in a meat grinder than do that shit.
Bones - Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs? Do you think these topics will change over time?
Buckshot: - We all write the songs together. Chas and I will come up with the riff. Dave our drummer will help out as well and we all come up with the main concept for the story behind the jam. Tommy will finish it up with some killer lyrics. We mostly write about shit we know about and truly live with every day. I don' t write about songs that sound like I am all depressed and want to kill myself and then drive my new BMW that my parents bought me. Nothing pisses me off more than rich kid bastards who cant play their instruments whining about all of their problems. Fucking lame ass posers with gay ass hair cuts.

Bones - Could you briefly describe the music-making process?
Buckshot: - Well we usually meet up at this Mexican Restaurant because they make some killer mixed drinks. We chug, we eat then we buy a case of beer and jam it out in the rehearsal studio. By the end of the 2 hours there we will have a couple of new songs written.
Bones - What are your rehearsals generally like? Do you have a set time each week in which you practice or are rehearsals more spontaneous?
Buckshot:- We honestly rehearse 2 times a month. I have played in bands where we used to rehearse 12 times a week. It just gets lame and the energy sucks ass. I know how to play my instrument and I listen to the shit all the time. I really don' t need to play it over and over again at a rehearsal studio. Lets keep the energy fresh and moving.
Bones - How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together?
Buckshot: - I just think we have come together as a band more and our writing has been better over the years. We have really become a family and a brotherhood. If you fuck with one of us you will die by all of us. Other than that its still the same ball's to the wall sound.
Bones - What has been your biggest challenge as a band? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
Buckshot: - We have had a lot of them through the years. The Industry has changed so much and its really hard to keep up. When you travel playing shows and you aren' t really getting paid money so you count on your merch. and CD sales. People will come to the show with a burned CD that they tell you that they Illegally burned off of Lime Wire and then they have the fucking balls to ask you if you will sign it for them. FUCK YOU. How about if I went to your house and took your TV out of your bedroom. How would you like them apples?
Bones - What's your ultimate direction for your band? Are you seeking fame and fortune?
Buckshot: - I just want to sit on my porch when I am 80 years old and drink a beer and just think that I had a great life playing music. Plain and simple.
Bones - What advice do you have for people who want to form their own bands?
Buckshot: - Don' t.....
Bones - How can fans-to-be gain access to your music? Do you have a website with sample songs or a demo CD?
Buckshot: - You can always check out our myspace page at www.myspace.com/dirtyrig
Bones - Is there anyone you'd like to acknowledge for offering financial or emotional support?
Buckshot: - Its always nice to have really supportive friends, family and our FANS really make all of this worth wild. They are the best and I really fucking mean that.
Bones - Any last words?
Buckshot: - Beers Up!
