HMTV DJ Tina : 1. Hi ColdSpell How are you?
ColdSpell: Hi Tina Yes were doin fine up here in the land of ice and snow and It feels great to do this intervew.
HMTV DJ Tina : 2. Are you working on any new material currently or videos?
ColdSpell: We will shoot some new pics at the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi hopefully this weekend and along with that we write songs, reherse and try to figure out what songs to be on our recording in august this year.
HMTV DJ Tina : 3. How about upcoming shows or tours any planned for 2008 curious what are your live shows like?
ColdSpell: Eventually there will be some festival gigs and and some clubs but our main priority in the nearest future is to record our full-lengh album.
HMTV DJ Tina : 4. Will ColdSpell have any demo’s or albums completed in 2008?
ColdSpell: Yes , as I mentioned , our plan is to record our full-lengh album in august and maybe a demo before that!
HMTV DJ Tina : 5. Can you tell us a little history about how the band met in 2005 the current line up of members and their roles in ColdSpell?
ColdSpell: We all been playing together in other bands (coverbands , tribute bands)and we all felt that it was time to do some stuff on our own.This idea of this band started many years ago but it takes time to find the right people and chemistry.ColdSpell is Niclas on vocals , me Michael on guitar , Matti on Hammond , Tommi on bass and finally Toby on drums

HMTV DJ Tina : 6. Who writes your songs?
ColdSpell: I (Michael)do the music and most of the lyrics.
HMTV DJ Tina : 7. What do you express in your lyrics?
ColdSpell: Well thats a tuff question.Its a mix of personal stuff,frustration over how things are in this world of ours,and of course love,love and love.
HM TV DJ Tina : 8. Do you ever write about personal experiences, social worldly issues, inspirations?
ColdSpell: Yes as Ive mentioned above and I write about everything that moves me , that means something to me.
HMTV DJ Tina : 9. What is ColdSpells technique for incorporating sound and melody to their music?
ColdSpell: Do a lot of time , rehearsing!
HMTV DJ Tina : 10. ColdSpell has a very distinctive metal sound what do you consider your major influences to be?
ColdSpell: I..ts interesting that you say metal , we have also been compared with Deep Purple , but I think our Hammond organ is the reason to that comparison.Our influences is a mix of everything between Black Sabbath,Deep Purple,Whitesnake to all the good sounding metal of today. One of my nearest and dearest influence is King..s X.
HMTV DJ Tina : 11. What is the bands criteria for a well mixed or engineered song?
ColdSpell: I think "dynamic" is the key word, that along with a powerful sound.Its easy to forget that each song is unique and should have its own special treatment, I know its not easy!
HMTV DJ Tina : 12. What does ColdSpell seek in a record label or a distribution deal?
ColdSpell: A label that really like what were doin and truly believes in us.A distribution with no limits.
HMTV DJ Tina :Is 13. ColdSpell’s music being aired on internet radio or main stream radio where can fans request your music?
ColdSpell: I really dont know where we been played but make requests to all radiostations and we send records!
HMTV DJ Tina : 14. What is a typical day like in the recording studio for ColdSpell?
ColdSpell: Hours and hours of trying to find the right sound!I love being in the studio , Its a world of Its own.And of course Pizza and a couple of beers.
HMTV DJ Tina : 15. What is your opinion of the music industry today and what would you like to see change?
ColdSpell: Theres a lot of good music out there , so many awesome bands and artists that never gets to the top!
HMTV DJ Tina : 16. Where can fans access ColdSpell’s music to buy song tracks or merchandise?
ColdSpell: Sorry , Its not possible yet but hopefully in a very near future , meantime - check us out at myspace.
HMTV DJ Tina : 17. Before we wrap up our interview do you have any shout outs or last words?
ColdSpell: Remember -Rockn roll is not a way of living , Its a bloodtype.
